1.  The Cake and Its Icing/ Frosting:

Choice of Vanilla Cake, Chocolate Devil’s Food Cake, Red Velvet Cake
 
Choice of Rolled Fondant Icing, White or Chocolate Icing, Chocolate Ganashe, or Flavored Buttercream.

~Rolled fondant being typically the most expensive as a lot of labor goes into rolling a perfectly smooth and even canvas for limitless cake decorating options, as well as tinting and coloring.

~Although buttercream is delicious, for melting reasons, it is not often recommended for summer events or weddings. A buttercream cake should be kept in a cool area.

2.  The Cake Decorating:

This will vary according to which icing or frosting is chosen. When choosing rolled fondant, the decorating ideas are limitless. Once the fondant is dry, it remains firm and perfectly smooth. With buttercream, the best choice is fresh flowers, piped borders, or decorative ribbon around each tier.

3.  The Cake Tiers/Size and Servings:

The size of the cake is the biggest factor that controls the cost in the end.  For wedding cakes, 2-tier and 3-tier cakes are pretty standard with finger-sized portions.
The Larger the cake or the more complex the design, extra measures and time goes into the securing the structure.

For the more common wedding cake, vanilla sponge cake with vanilla frosting the price per slice starts around 5.50 per slice. For each additional tier $.50 is added per slice.

Cup Cake Price Guide

Cupcake price depends on the base, frosting, and decoration chosen.
There is a Dozen Cupcake Minimum starting at $1.25 each.

Cake Base:
~ vanilla, devil food, red velvet and lemon

Frosting/Icing:
Butter cream swirl ~ no extra cost   (vanilla, chocolate, coffee, peanubutter, creamcheese)
Poured fondant ~ additional 50¢ each
Rolled fondant ~ additional 50¢ each

Decoration:
Cachous, sprinkles, 5mm hearts & flowers sprinkles, crushed confectionery -
